Commissioned by Chowk Collective, this project is my personal ode to Calcutta—a city I immediately fell in love with. Its architecture, so unlike the city I grew up in, held a strangeness that drew me in. The people, bold in their way of living, appeared like silhouettes against their windows—wrapped in rituals, draped in routine, yet utterly distinct in lifestyle.

On my second visit, I witnessed something deeper: a kind of devotion that seeped into the very air—heavy with sweat, flowers, and an unexplainable but lingering current. This work is a tribute to that energy, to the divine woven into the everyday, and to the presence and power of women moving through that space.
